On 4 August 2021, a Downing Street briefing was held to outline the newest step in the Covid-19 vaccine programme.
The briefing was chaired by Deputy Chief Medical Officer Professor Jonathan Van-Tam.
Alongside him were Professor Wei Shen Lim, chair of the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation, and Dr June Raine, Chief Executive of the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency.
