Coronavirus – Volunteers Needed Now!

Adur & Worthing Councils are recruiting volunteers to help with their community effort to protect the vulnerable during the coronavirus crisis.

Wide range of Worthing coronavirus Volunteering activities

The Councils are looking for people with some time to help out on a range of voluntary activities as well as those with skills in digital or knowledge of safety advice. Others might simply be happy to talk to people who may be feeling isolated at this time.

Councils currently registering those in vulnerable categories

The Councils are currently urging people who think they may be in vulnerable categories to register online or by telephone hotline so that a comprehensive picture can be built up on the scale of need.

Neighbourhood teams to be established

Once that has been completed, Neighbourhood Teams are to be established to coordinate getting help to the residents. It is here that volunteers are needed. This is complementary to the NHS volunteer scheme that has already been launched.
